FAQs
about our
EVENTS

No partner is needed:
Many of our dancers come as individuals. It is a great way to meet people and make new friends.

We welcome beginners:
We teach people to dance! We have many success stories from people who thought “I can't dance” that leave our events with a smile on their face and joy in their heart discovering that “yes they can”!

No costume is required:
You need not wear a costume to participate. Daywear of the Victorian era or event theme is welcome, as is other historical or fanciful dress however many come in modern day clothing.

A note about footwear:
Please wear shoes that allow you to move with grace and comfort. We strongly recommend against sneakers as they stick to the floor and impede one's movement. Spike heels are cruel to the wooden floor and to anyone upon whose foot you may accidentally tread; please do not wear them.

How YOU can help!
Our non-profit 501c3 educational corporation always welcomes volunteers. There are many tasks to do during the event and throughout the month.

2022 Historical Tea & Dance Society Calendar

Welcome friends!
As long as the safety regulations allow us to dance these are the projected dates for events. Masks and vaccinations are required to enter the hall for every event currently. Join our mailing list for updates on event and other news.

TUESDAY DANCE CLASSES:
Now at Skandia Hall in Pasadena. Our hall has excellent air flow and a great dance floor. Our "open to all including beginners" dance class started on Tuesday July 13th and continues the 2nd, 4th and 5th Tuesday of each month. Let's come together to share the joy of English Country and historical dance.

1st SUNDAY LIVE MUSIC DANCES:
We are proceeding with care to be able to continue to dance in a safe and responsible manner. To ensure your safety we have implemented safeguards including reduced capacity, proof of vaccination, and the wearing of masks at all times while in the hall.
Pre-registration (a quick process) is required to reserve your spot. We look forward to seeing you on the dance floor. See below for what events we have planned for 2022!
